Here are the terms and conditions of our free TLC (Touch Look Check) guide campaign.

Has this text cost me anything?

Your text has been charged at your standard network rate and the reply we sent was free for you to receive.

What happens after I have texted in/registered online?

If you registered online, the registration and confirmation page explained that we would call you back soon to arrange delivery.

If you have sent us a text, you would have received one back notifying you that you will receive a phone call from us within a week or two. During this call we will ask for your contact details to arrange delivery of your guide and we will tell you a little more about Breast Cancer Now’s work and ask whether you’d like to support us with a regular gift.

I don’t want to be called to arrange delivery for my TLC guide.

Please note that by opting out before we call you, we will be unable to contact you to send your free guide.

You will need to let us know by emailing with your full name and mobile number you sent the text from in order for us not to call you.

Alternatively, you can call our information line on 0333 20 70 300 or text the word DECLINE to 70300.

Is the TLC guide free?

The guide is completely free.

When we call to arrange for a delivery of your free TLC guide, we will tell you more about our work and the ways you might want to support Breast Cancer Now. The reason we ask people for financial support is that our life-saving research requires long-term funding and we therefore rely on long-term support.

I didn’t know I was going to get a call.

If you sent us a text, in the message you would have received immediately after, we explained that we would give you a call to arrange delivery of the TLC guide. If you registered online, the terms and conditions stated that we would give you a call to arrange delivery of the TLC guide. If you do not wish to receive a call, see below for opt-out information.

What will you do with my email and phone number?

Breast Cancer Now may phone or write to you to keep you updated about our work and opportunities to support us. We would like to assure you that we do not send spam texts and numbers will not be passed on to other marketing firms.

If you have changed your mind or you do not wish to receive any further communication from Breast Cancer Now in the future please contact us in one of the following ways:

  • Telephone 0333 20 70 300
  • Email (please include your full name and mobile number or email address)
  • Text the word DECLINE to 70300 – this text will be charged at your standard network rate

Please note that if you opt out before we call you we will be unable to contact you to send your free guide.

Why do you call more than once?

We do try several times to get through as we need your details in order to send you the information you requested and we’d like to ensure you receive this.

I ordered my TLC guide and haven’t received it.

Just email our Supporter Services team at to let us know you’ve not received your guide. Please ensure you include your name, address and telephone number in the email.

You can also call our information line on 0333 20 70 300 and we’ll get another sent out to you.

Is this the only way I could get this information?

Whilst we are keen for women to have a guide so they can look at the TLC (Touch Look Check) information at their convenience, we also have the full list of signs and symptoms available on our main website for anyone to see.

I’d like more of these guides to give out in my community/workplace.

We welcome supporters who would like to spread breast awareness within their community or workplaces. If you’d like to do so, please get in touch with our Supporter Services team by emailing or calling us on 0333 20 70 300
