Breast awareness in Scotland

The earlier breast cancer is found, the better the chance of beating it. However, almost half of women in Scotland don’t check their breasts regularly for the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, mainly because they forget. Let’s change that.

Breast awareness is as easy as TLC

TOUCH your breasts. Can you feel anything unusual?

LOOK for changes. Is there any change in shape or texture?

CHECK anything unusual with your doctor.

Being breast aware simply means knowing how your breasts look and feel normally, being on the lookout for any unusual changes and getting them checked out by your doctor. There’s no special technique to checking your breasts, it’s just about getting to know how yours look and feel by checking regularly. Find out more about the signs and symptoms of breast cancer.

Will you help us to show Scotland some TLC?

We want MSPs to help us improve breast awareness in your area by holding regular information events.

Please email your MSPs and ask them if they will agree to hold regular breast awareness events locally.

It doesn’t even take a minute and by getting your MSPs to promote breast awareness, you could help save lives from breast cancer in your area

So, will you help us to Show Scotland some TLC?

Yes, I will

It’s so important that women know what to look for and how to check. We want everyone in Scotland to know how easy it is to be breast aware, please help us.
