This trek through one of the most remote parts of the world culminates in a chance to explore the ancient Incan ruins of Machu Picchu.
Starting off in Cusco, the ancient Inca capital, you’ll have a few days to acclimatise to the high altitude and explore the local sights.
Your five day trek to Machu Picchu will then take you through stunning scenery in one of the world’s most remote regions that has remained largely unchanged for 500 years.
Along the route, you will see natural hot springs, glacial blue lakes and the ways of the Quechua people, culminating in the opportunity to explore the famous ruins at Machu Picchu.
One of the most beautiful and enigmatic ancient sites in the world, these breathtaking ruins are nestled high in the Andes and were rediscovered in 1911 by Hiram Bingham.
