If your boots are made for walking, then the national Three Peaks Challenge is for you. You’ll travel to Fort William in Scotland on Friday, beginning the trek by climbing Ben Nevis on Saturday morning. You’ll then head to the Lake District to scale Scafell Pike that night, before finishing in Wales on Sunday by conquering Snowdon.
This event is perfect for both individuals and groups. With up to 13 hours of climbing (Ben Nevis – five hours, Scafell Pike – four hours and Snowdon – four hours) this is a tough challenge, but one that comes with breath-taking views – and the chance to help put an end to breast cancer. (Please note: This time does not include road transfer to each mountain, so the total time of the challenge takes longer than 13 hours.)
We’ll be here to make sure you get all the support you need for your incredible challenge, including:
- Professional event organisation
- Qualified mountain leaders and first aiders
- Briefing, route planning and equipment check
- Transport from Manchester to Ben Nevis with designated pick-up points along the way
- Transport between the three peaks
- Transport from Snowdonia to Manchester with designated drop-off points along the way
- One night twin room accommodation with breakfast (single rooms are available at a £45 supplement)
You’ll also receive a Breast Cancer Now T-shirt, access to our online training zone, the complete support of our experienced Challenge Events team and a fundraising pack with everything you’ll need to raise money.
Payment options explained
All participants will pay the registration fee (£99) to Maximum Adventure who organise the event. You then have the option to either agree to a minimum sponsorship pledge (£650) or to self-fund the whole cost of the trip yourself (£300).
If you choose the minimum sponsorship option Breast Cancer Now will pay the remainder of your trip costs from the money that you raise. 80% of the minimum sponsorship pledge (£520) must be raised and received by Breast Cancer Now 10 weeks before your departure date to allow us to pay the invoice for your trip costs. The final 20% (£130) must be received by Breast Cancer Now by one month after you return from the challenge.
Anything you raise above the minimum sponsorship amount comes to Breast Cancer Now. If you choose the self-funder option you will be covering all of the trip costs yourself and we ask you to try and raise at least £100 to support our work.
