We have a number of recycling schemes to help turn your old goods into vital funds that help fund our world-class breast cancer research.
Are you having a big clean out or throwing away old clothes you no longer need? Why not get rid of your clothing clutter whilst raising money for Breast Cancer Now?
Throughout the year, our partner Midlands Textile ltd will be posting collection bags through doors up and down the country, collecting the following items for recycling:
- Clean adult and children’s clothes
- Paired shoes
- Underwear and socks*
- Bedding (in good condition)
- Soft toys
*Sadly we do not currently have a bra recycling solution, but please check back again soon for new updates.
We receive £100 per tonne of clothing collected, so every item you donate will bring us a step closer to reaching our goal of ensuring that, by 2050, everyone who develops breast cancer will live.
If you’ve had a textile recycling bag through your door, want to know when the Midlands Textile vans will be in your area, or have any other questions or queries, please call 0330 3801 359, email the customer service desk at email@example.com or visit the Midlands Textile website.
Do you own a vehicle that you want to sell or get rid of? Then please think about donating it to us through Giveacar
Giveacar raises money for UK charities by scrapping and selling old cars. They provide a nationwide FREE service which:
- Arranges the collection of the vehicle from your home for FREE; and
- Recycles it at an authorised facility or sends it to auction (depending on its age and condition)
Scrap donations raise about £35 for the charity (depending on the price of metal) while auction cars can raise much more.
To arrange donation of a car, visit Giveacar or call 020 7736 4242, quoting Breast Cancer Now as your preferred charity.
Print cartridges and mobile phones
Our inkjet, toner and mobile phone recycling partner is ShP Limited.
Recycling on behalf of a business? You can recycle for us by contacting our recycling partner directly. Either request for boxes or bags to be sent to your office so you can start recycling, or ask for full boxes to be collected free of charge, and replacements sent out.
Email Heidi Smith on Heidi.Smith@shplimited.co.uk – just remember to put ‘Breast Cancer Now’ in the subject box.
Recycling as an individual? You can pop your cartridges or mobile phones straight into any envelope, along with a note to say that they are supporting Breast Cancer Now. Please label the front of the envelope with the following address (there’s no need for a postcode!):
(For Breast Cancer Now)
