Highlights from our 2017 event
The 23rd Annual Pink Ribbon Ball was an evening to remember. Held on Saturday 14 October at the stunning Dorchester Hotel on Park Lane, we came together in style to raise the necessary funds to help continue our life-saving research. The evening included a champagne reception, luxury three course meals with wine and fantastic entertainment, and was filled with plenty of opportunities to support Breast Cancer Now. The theme this year was 1920s, and our guests came dressed accordingly.
We started the evening with a game of higher or lower which saw the winner take home a fantastic £2,000 Virgin Holidays voucher. As the night progressed we saw both our live and silent auctions, as well as our raffles, prove very popular with our guests. The lucky winners went home with a variety of prizes ranging from artwork, to holidays, to home ware, all donated by our fantastic sponsors.
The entertainment was an all-out spectacle as always. The 1920s flapper girl dancers were a delight to watch and created a fun, party atmosphere in the ballroom.
Our headline act was 2015 X-Factor winner, Louisa Johnson (pictured), who gave a stellar performance with a fantastic set of her own hits and covers that got the whole room onto the dance floor. We were thrilled that Louisa was able to join us, and she was a huge hit with our guests and volunteers alike.
It was honour to perform at the Pink Ribbon Ball and to support Breast Cancer Now. I absolutely loved performing at such a stunning venue to such an amazing audience, I hope everyone had as much fun as I did.
Breast cancer touches the lives of so many people, and one in eight women in the UK will face the disease in their lifetime, so I’m delighted to help raise funds for Breast Cancer Now’s research. It’s such an important cause.
We ended the night with an incredible set from the amazing 'Session 21', who brought the house down with their set of well-known tracks, keeping the party going until the very end.
The Pink Ribbon Ball was a huge success and raised over £255,000, meaning that we can continue to fund the most impactful research and help find a cure for breast cancer.
Thank you to everyone who joined together to make it such a memorable and enjoyable night!
