Temporary closure of the website
Due to an unexpected rise in technical support costs to continue supporting the existing Breakthrough Tribute Fund website, we will be temporarily closing the website at the end of April for 4-6 weeks.
We want to reassure you that information on your fund page will not be lost and all of our records and the history of your fund will be unaffected.
While the site is closed you will still be able to make donations to your fund using our donation form – please enter the fund name in the comments field of this form to ensure we link it to your fund.
Our new Tribute Fund website
As you may be aware, we are in the process of upgrading the Tribute Fund website and this is due to launch in June this year. At this time, all information from your fund will be transferred to the new website.
We had planned to transfer your fund and close the old website when the new site launched, but unfortunately we have had to bring forward the closure of the old site.
We’re very sorry that we have had to take this decision and would like to sincerely apologise for any inconvenience or concern caused. We will of course be in touch soon with more details of what you can expect from the new Tribute Fund website.

Frequently Asked Questions
What will happen to my fund and the messages/donations left on it?
All of the information including messages and donations that are currently on your fund will be stored securely and transferred to our new website when it launches in June. We will be in touch as soon as possible to inform you of when your new fund will be ready.
Why was I not informed or this change sooner/at all?
The decision on whether we could keep the website open had to be made quickly and after reviewing the implications and costs involved we had to take the decision to close the site. We sent an email and attempted to contact all fund holders whose details we had on record as early as possible. We sincerely apologise if you were not informed of this.
What if someone else wants to donate to my fund?
Any links and pages that previously went to your tribute fund will automatically re-direct to this page. Friends and family will then be able to donate to your fund using our donation form.
If you have fundraising activities planned between now and when our new tribute fund site launches in June, we would recommend using a JustGiving or VirginMoney Giving page. I give a regular gift to my fund – what will happen to it?
All regular donations that are given to your fund by Direct Debit will continue as normal while the site is temporarily closed. When we launch the new tribute fund website, all donations will be added to your fund and appear in the total.
I don’t have an online fund page, does this affect me?
If you don't currently have an online page for your tribute fund then your fund will be unaffected. If you would be interested in setting up an online page for your fund when our new website launches, please email email@example.com
