Rosalind Griffin, Assistant Director
“I want my daughter to grow up in a world where all forms of breast cancer are treatable and survivable. It gives me enormous personal and professional pride to be working towards such clear and achievable goals.”
Rosalind has worked in fundraising for almost 20 years, starting as a student caller for her university. She then set up and ran university telephone fundraising campaigns as a consultant before going on to a varied career within higher education fundraising and alumni relations. Most recently, Rosalind spent over 10 years in various roles at Imperial College London, including running a successful regular giving programme and significantly increasing income from legacies. She then managed the major giving function, working on several multi-million pound gifts before moving into a strategic role in growing the highly successful advancement function.
Rosalind studied German and Politics at the University of Leicester including one year at the Friedrich-Schiller Universität in Jena, Germany.
Nicole Turney, Manager
“Cancer has touched the lives of everyone I know and taken the lives of people I love far too early. For me, working with Breast Cancer Now means being a part of an amazing team that is not only working tirelessly to find ways to prevent and treat breast cancer, but also to create a world where no one dies from the disease.”
Nicole has worked in the non-profit sector in the US, UK and South Africa across development, programmes and operations departments for over 10 years.
She holds two BA degrees in Politics and Film and Digital Media from the University of California, Santa Cruz and a Double MA with distinction in International Economics from University College London and Charles University in Prague. Her mother is a cancer survivor.
Sarah Tessier, Officer
“Having had loved ones who have been affected by breast cancer, it is rewarding to wake up in the morning knowing that I’m playing a part in helping to stop women dying from breast cancer. I’m proud to work for Breast Cancer Now and enjoy working with our donors to as they support the research and projects that they are most passionate about.”
Sarah has worked for a variety of heath care charities in both the UK and Canada for nearly nine years in all areas of fundraising including events, annual giving, alumni relations and philanthropy.
She holds a BA in Gender Studies from Queen’s University and a Diploma in Fundraising and Volunteer Management from Humber College.
Rebecca Round, Officer
“I have seen the effects breast cancer has on people close to me and know all too well how it’s not just those diagnosed who suffer, but also the family members, friends and colleagues who provide endless support and love. I am so proud to be working for Breast Cancer Now and being part of such an inspirational team of staff, scientists and supporters, all doing everything they can to stop people from dying from the disease.”
Rebecca has worked in the non-profit sector for over 5 years, starting as a market researcher and outreach worker at the anti-bullying charity Kidscape. She then moved into fundraising and has worked in a variety of areas including events, corporate partnerships, community funding, annual giving and philanthropy.
She has a degree in Psychology from the University of York.
