Breast Cancer Now are recruiting volunteers to be part of an exciting and innovative new project in Scotland.

We are currently recruiting volunteer Lifestyle Coaches in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee and Aberdeen to join our team and support the delivery of the ActWELL trial.

ActWELL is a research trial that will deliver advice on lifestyle change for breast cancer risk reduction to women over 50. Breast Cancer Now are supporting the University of Dundee to deliver the ActWELL trial by providing a team of Lifestyle Coaches. Volunteers will be trained to support women recruited to the trial to make sustainable lifestyle changes, focusing on physical activity, diet and body weight.

Volunteers will receive full certificated training and ongoing support to carry out the role. Training will take place over two days in Dundee and successful applicants will be required to attend both training dates.

The provisional dates for training are Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 June (reasonable expenses and overnight accommodation will be made available to those that require it). Further training dates will be planned later in the year.

The application deadline for the June training dates is Friday 12 May. Future training dates for ActWELL will be announced later in the year.

We would love to hear from anyone who has an interest in health and lifestyle choices and would like to make a difference to women’s lives.
