Colin with family

Our partnership with EDF Energy will power the path to 2050 and make sure no more families are torn apart like Colin’s was when his wife Gill died of breast cancer.

When we work together, we can achieve so much more. At Breast Cancer Now, collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. It’s why we bring together the brightest researchers, the boldest campaigners, the most determined fundraisers and the best-known companies – because we believe that if we all act now, by 2050, no one who develops breast cancer will die from it.

Right now, we’ve got an incredible opportunity to work with EDF Energy to help save the lives of the women we love. But we need your help to make it happen.

Powering the path to 2050

Breast Cancer Now is down to the final three to become EDF Energy’s charity partner for the next three years. If we win, EDF Energy would raise £150,000 each year to support our work, as well as helping us spread the word about breast cancer, moving us a vital step closer towards 2050 and the day when we can stop women dying from this dreadful disease.

EDF Energy’s staff will vote to decide who they want to be their new charity partner between Tuesday 5 July and Tuesday 26 July. If you work at EDF Energy, or know someone who does, your support could make an incredible difference for women facing breast cancer.

Together, a force against breast cancer

Breast cancer touches the lives of millions of us in the UK. Wherever we live and wherever we work, we’ll know someone who’s been affected. And sadly, the number of people being diagnosed is only growing.

Today alone, 32 women will lose their lives to breast cancer. These women are our mothers, our daughters, our wives, our sisters. They’re the women we love. And if we want to stop this from happening, we have to act now.

Our partnership with EDF Energy’s will be all about taking action for the women who make our lives that much brighter. It will fund life-saving research, helping us find ways to prevent breast cancer, detect it earlier and treat it more effectively – so we can stop women dying from the terrible disease.

EDF Energy’s staff will also have the opportunity to volunteer their time and skills to help us tell more people about the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, and our vital work to stop it.

Do you work at EDF Energy or know someone that does?

If you work for EDF Energy, please use your vote between 5 July and 26 July for the women you love and choose Breast Cancer Now as your charity partner.

If you know someone who works at EDF Energy, encourage them to vote for Breast Cancer Now! You could share this this blog with them, or tell them a bit more about our work yourself. By voting for Breast Cancer Now, they’ll be helping get us closer to the day when no one loses a loved one to breast cancer.

Don’t think you know anyone at EDF Energy? You can still help us spread the word by sharing our updates on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn – who knows who might be a friend of a friend!

EDF Energy and Breast Cancer Now – let’s make it happen! Vote for us when the vote opens on Tuesday 5 July.
