Calling all chocolate lovers - Godiva, the luxury Belgian chocolatier and Breast Cancer Now partner, has launched a UK-wide competition to unearth the nation’s best chocolate dessert and we want to give our supporters the chance to be involved.
Tying in with Breast Cancer Now, all competition recipes will have to include chocolate, meringue… and a touch of pink.
Entrants are invited to apply online by 30 September, and four lucky finalists will present their mouth-watering recipes at a prestige kitchen-design showroom during National Chocolate Week.
The Godiva Chocolate Challenge final will take place on the evening of Tuesday 13 October at the Alno Showroom in central London.
The finalists will cook for a top judging panel on the night of writer and MasterChef food critic, William Sitwell; leading British restaurateur, Mark Hix and Godvia's head choclatier, Jean Apostolou.
If that wasn’t enough, the winning dessert will be served in Mark Hix’s Soho restaurant and all four finalists will enjoy a 5-star weekend trip to Brussels, while the overall winner will also visit Godiva’s Atelier of Chocolate Innovation.
This mouth-watering event coincides with the launch of Mousse Meringue, Godiva’s latest collection.
Throughout October, boxes of Mousse Meringues will also carry a 10% donation to Breast Cancer Now, allowing customers to help fund life-saving research whilst indulging in a chocolatey treat.
So if you consider yourself a budding chocolatier and want to be in with a chance of winning this scrumptious prize then go online to enter now and don’t forget to purchase a box of Mousse Meringue while you are there. Chocs away!
