Today, TV sensation Zoe Hardman announces Asda’s charity fundraising milestone.
An inspirational £30 million has been raised for its Tickled Pink campaign to date, with funds going to two of the UK’s leading breast cancer charities; Breast Cancer Campaign and Breast Cancer Care.
Founded in 1996 by Asda with the aim to raise awareness of and money for the treatment of breast cancer in the UK, the Tickled Pink campaign has raised funds for the past 16 years, enabling two charities to help those diagnosed with breast cancer receive valuable support, whilst funding world-class research to hopefully one day, find a cure.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK with around 50,000 people diagnosed with the disease each year. One in eight women in the UK will be diagnosed in their lifetime and 12,000 women die every year.
Last year the TV star took part in a fun ‘Tickled Pink Ladies’ themed photo shoot to raise awareness and funds for the campaign. This year to mark the £30 million milestone, Zoe fronts an exclusive video to showcase where the money raised is helping those diagnosed with breast cancer.

Without this vital money raised, the two charities wouldn’t be able to provide the vast range of services, support and research to those who need it most. Asda’s Tickled Pink campaign has helped millions of people affected by breast cancer including funding 78 innovative Breast Cancer Campaign research projects in 22 locations across the UK, the creation of the UK’s first ever national Tissue Bank for researchers across the UK, and supporting Breast Cancer Care’s award winning Helpline, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.
