Three young women from Gibraltar - Bianca Daniell, Katherine Cassano and Wendy Cumming - are flying to Scotland in September to take part in the Breast Cancer Care Ben Nevis Challenge in loving memory of their friend Nancy.

They’ve made a great start with their training and sponsorship has been rolling in. Bianca has this to say about what they’ve been up to.

'Due to our different personal work and family commitments we’re each doing (or trying to do!) our own training.

'One thing we've done together is a few walks up the Med Steps in Gibraltar along with family and some of Nancy’s family too.

'I also some t-shirts made which are great to wear to draw attention to what we're doing.

'I’ve spoken to lots of my colleagues about the challenge our family and friends via email and Facebook and set up a JustGiving page.

'As a team we meet up regularly and post photos and updates on Facebook on our progress so that our sponsors can see the effort we’re putting in. I'm not usually a particular fan of Facebook but it’s proven to be a fantastic tool to market the event!

'If you’re thinking about signing up go for it and if you’re daunted by the amount you’ll need to train and fundraise don’t be! It really has been great fun preparing for the challenge and we can’t wait for September so we can conquer Ben Nevis together!'
