Whether you want to get pink in October for Breast Cancer Awareness month or host a Pink Ball, set up a stall or run a pub quiz, we’ve got lots of fundraising ideas and advice to make sure you can maximise your event’s fundraising and have fun while doing so.
Let us know what you're planning so we can help make your event a success.
Have a bit of fun with your fundraising and host a speed dating event. Hand out number stickers and a sheet of paper to participants, who then keep a record of anyone they get on with. At the end of the night collect in the sheets and match everyone up!
Donations can be taken for ticket sales, and a raffle could be held during the event, with the prize a local dinner for two.
24 Hour Sportathon
Want to take your sport to the next level? Maybe you fancy holding a nonstop Zumba class for a day, or keeping a static bike going for 24 hours? Whatever you would like to try, pick a sport and a time frame, then get your friends or other societies involved. Ask people to sponsor you, or give each group a one hour slot and ask them to fundraise too.
If you’ve always watched those evening quiz shows and wondered what it would be like to be quizmaster, then this could be the event for you. Put students to the test and find out who is the smartest of them all. For a quick and easy way to do this, why not ask to take over a local regular pub quiz one session? As well as charging teams to take part, you could also hold a prize raffle so there are even more opportunities to be a winner!
Host a night of your favourite films, and ask for a small entrance fee. For a bigger event, you could ask the Union cinema or film society to get involved, and see if you could host it in a lecture theatre. Sell popcorn and refreshments during the evening for added donations.
