This August, we’re baking, buying and brewing to change the future. So everyone with breast cancer lives and lives well.

Here's 5 tips to help you plan your day:

1. Set a date early on

An illustration of a pink calendar showing August. The 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th of August are circled and have picture of teacups on them to show when the Afternoon Tea event is happening.

Setting a date will give you and your guests something to look forward to! Once you’ve picked a date, let us know.

Let us know your date

Then you can download or order invitations to send to guests, so they can save the date. The countdown to your change-making tea will then be on, how exciting!

2. Make donating as easy as one click

With JustGiving, you can create your own unique fundraising page. Making it easy for your friends and family to donate online by debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. And the money comes straight to us.

Set up a page

Need help setting up a page? See our handy blog on how to set up your JustGiving page.

Prefer to collect cash?

That’s absolutely no problem! If you’re collecting money, simply pop your donation box and Gift Aid form out. Then watch them fill up with donations!

With Gift Aid, your eligible guests can increase the value of their donation by 25% without spending another penny.

Both materials can be found in your fabulous fundraising kit, but you can order more boxes and download more forms if you need them.

3. Think about your menu

Love to bake it? Prefer to fake it? Whatever your style, you can help us be here for everyone who needs us. Start to think about your menu and how you’ll be raising funds on the day.

When selling bakes, we recommend you ask for a suggested donation instead of a set price, this is because we can only claim Gift Aid on voluntary donations.

4. Put the 'fun' in fundraising

There are lots of fun activities you can organise, like having a raffle, playing games or having a baking competition.

Take a look at our 7 fun activities to boost your fundraising blog and browse our pre-made games.

If you raised £20 playing games, it could keep our forum running for one day. Thousands of people affected by breast cancer use our online forum. It’s a safe space to share experiences, find information and talk with others. At any hour of the day.

5. Talk to other hosts
