Time saving tea tips!

This August, you’re baking, buying and brewing to change the future. So everyone with breast cancer lives and lives well.

If you’re running short on time, here’s some time-saving tips to inspire you:

Ask for help 

Afternoon Tea

Guests are usually very happy to help and support your fundraising efforts, but they often don’t know what you need. Here’s some ideas to get you thinking:  

  • Spread out jobs between friends and family: one person can be in charge of the raffle, another games and so on.  
  • You don’t have to put on a foodie spread by yourself; you could make your tea a ‘bring and share'. Simply ask each guest to bring a sweet or savoury dish with them. 
  • Ask someone to help you put on the day, so it’s a joint fundraiser. It’ll be extra fun and many hands make light work!

Time-saving food tips

Love to bake it? Prefer to fake it? Whatever your style, we’ve got some handy time saving tips: 

  • You don’t have to bake! Take the pressure off and put on a yummy shop-bought spread. 
  • Want to bake but don’t have a lot of time? Find the middle ground, you could buy a plain cake and decorate it at home or buy pre-weighed baking kits so you can crack on.  
  • Make use of the freezer, lots of things can be frozen and defrosted to serve or bake. This means you can space out your baking instead of doing it all the day before!   

Make donating quick and easy

We’d recommend setting up a JustGiving page - it’s a great way to collect your fundraising and can save lots of time.
