Exploring factors influencing telemedicine acceptance among breast cancer patients in follow – up care: Mixed method approach
Telemedicine, or virtual appointments, is where appointments or communication with healthcare professionals are done via online video, phone, email, or text messages, instead of face to face. This is increasingly used in healthcare.
During the COVID-19 pandemic there was an increase in using virtual appointments to manage people who were had chronic conditions like breast cancer.
After the pandemic, managing patients remotely using virtual appointments has decreased, which suggests that people don’t like it as much as face to face appointments.
In this study, the researchers are planning to study people’s experience of virtual appointments and identify factors which can influence whether people accept it. This will help decision and policy makers improve the current virtual appointment system for the people using it.

The researchers would like to you complete an anonymous online survey. It should should take 10 to 15 minutes to complete.
In the survey, you'll be asked questions about your experience of virtual follow up appointments after cancer treatments, and how you think they could be approved.
