Help researchers test a questionnaire to measure the emotional impact of living with a long-term condition like breast cancer.
What’s the study about?
Living with a long-term condition like breast cancer can be difficult. And we know that people living with long-term conditions can also experience anxiety and depression.
It’s important to better identify people who are experiencing emotional distress when living with a long-term condition, so we can provide better support.
This project will create and test a questionnaire to measure the emotional impact of living with a long-term condition.
Who can take part?
You can take part if you're over 18, live in the UK, and live with a long-term condition.
You must also have an email address, and be able to write and speak English.
Why do you want me to be involved?
By taking part, you’ll help the researchers assess whether their questionnaire accurately and reliably measures the impact of living with a long term condition.
This will ensure that the researchers can better understand and treat emotional distress in people living with long-term conditions.
What will you ask me to do?
You'll complete 2 short questionnaires online a week apart. The first will take about 10-15 minutes to complete. The second one will take 5 minutes to complete.
These questionnaires will explore your mood and experiences of living with a long-term health condition.
How do I get involved?
You can find out more by reading the participant information sheet.
To participate, you can complete the study online. If you have any questions, you can contact the research team at LTC-study@kcl.ac.uk.
When’s the deadline?
There is no current deadline for this survey. It's ongoing.
