Radiotherapy UK’s research shows that people who wait a long time for radiotherapy have poorer outcomes.
Radiotherapy UK and the #CatchUpWithCancer campaign are working with the BBC on a story about waits for radiotherapy treatment, and how this is impacting breast cancer patients.
They’d like to speak to people about the impact of long delays in their radiotherapy, to raise awareness about the impact and the need for change.

You can take part if you’ve had a diagnosis of breast cancer, including primary, secondary, or a local or regional recurrence of primary breast cancer, and
By sharing your experience, you’ll help the public understand the impact of these delays. The team hopes that this will also influence government to take action to reduce waits.
The team would like to have an initial chat with you about what you’d like to talk about. Then, if they decide to take your story forward, you may be asked to do an interview for TV or print.
Because of the nature of media, they can’t guarantee that the story will go ahead. However, they’ll make sure there are other ways to contribute to the campaign if this is the case.
