Thank you for registering for Younger Women Together online. We’re really looking forward to meeting you when you join us. To help you get ready, we’ve compiled a list of common questions and answers.

How do I use Zoom?

Our online courses take place on Zoom. Please read our guidance on how to set up Zoom on your phone, tablet or laptop before the event. If you’re still having trouble, let us know and someone on the team can talk you through it.

What can I expect?

Most of our online events take place 1 evening per week over 4 weeks. You'll join sessions with the whole group and break-out sessions with expert speakers. There’ll also be a Q&A with an oncologist and support from our volunteers throughout. All you need is a device with Zoom and a webcam to join in.

How many people will be at the event?

At online events, there’ll be up to 30 people.

What topics will we cover?

At our 4-week online events, we cover topics like relationships, menopause and fertility.

Do I have to speak or go on camera?

We encourage you to keep your camera on. It helps everyone to feel more connected. We’ll also invite you to introduce yourself, ask any questions and contribute to group discussions if you want to.

Are the events confidential?

All our events are confidential. The facilitator will create a safe and private space for everyone to share openly. And at the start of each session, we'll remind everyone that what’s shared in the group, stays in the group.

Are the online sessions accessible?

We want our online sessions to be accessible to everyone. You can use our Zoom guidance to get set up on Zoom for the online course. If you’re still having trouble, or need additional support to take part online, please email servicesbusinesssupport@breastcancernow.org and we’ll do what we can to make sure you can take part.

What do other people say about Younger Women Together online?

The Younger Women Together event made a world of difference. When I found out that it was going to be online, I didn’t think that it would help much - but I’m so glad I attended! It was such a godsend. Just being able to share my experience with other women who got me, without judgment or pity or indifference, was a relief.

Do I have to attend every session?

We understand that sometimes you might not feel well enough to attend, plans change unexpectedly and you might not be able to come anymore. That’s totally OK.

Please let us know if you can’t make one of the sessions. If we don’t hear from you, we might get in touch to check you’re OK. We can also help you reschedule to attend another session.

What if I can’t make a session?

You'll be able to cancel your reservation on our online booking system and rebook if you need to. Cancelling in advance helps us plan groups and we might be able to offer your place to someone else.

Will my employer give me time off to attend?

If you're working, your employer should allow you time to attend. Please contact us if you're experiencing any difficulties, and we can provide you with a letter to give to them.

I have another question, can you help?

Absolutely. Whether your question hasn’t been answered here, or you’d like to know something in more detail, we’re here to help. Email us or call 0345 077 1893
