Swim Serpentine in London’s Hyde Park is set to become the UK’s largest and most exciting outdoor swimming event, with 6,000 swimmers taking part.
Brought to you by the team behind the Virgin Money London Marathon and Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 you can expect a world class event hosted in the same venue that held the open water swimming competition at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
You can take part in either the half-mile, one-mile or two-mile swim, or sign up to the Super Six Challenge, and take on a total of six miles in five different races during the day.
One mile is the equivalent of swimming 64 lengths of a 25m pool, and there's lots of training advice on the Swim Serpentine website to help you achieve your goal.
All swimmers must wear either a wetsuit or use a tow-float, and will be provided with a coloured swimming hat that corresponds to your start time. Both wetsuits and tow-floats will be available to hire on the day.

In 2017 London Marathon Events created the London Classics. The unique challenge requires participants to complete the London Marathon, the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 and the two-mile event at Swim Serpentine.
To qualify for the challenge, you must have completed the three events in any year. Everyone who completes them will be awarded a unique (and huge) medal and your name will also be added to the London Classics Hall of Fame. There are currently 569 members. Take a look!
