Progress Fund

Now. Not Never.

Right now, that’s when we need change. That’s why at Breast Cancer Now, we’ve set up the Progress Fund, an exciting new initiative investing in the world-class researchers of the future.

Join the Fund

Rob Wiesheu, a researcher in the lab

Are you ready to change the future of breast cancer?

So far, we have:

  • Opened the first research centre in the UK solely dedicated to breast cancer.
  • Launched one of the world's largest studies investigating the risk factors and causes of breast cancer.
  • Established the UK’s first-ever national breast cancer tissue bank, so that scientists can study real breast cancer samples.

We need the researchers of the future and the support of bold people like you to make more research breakthroughs happen.

Make life-changing research happen

Developing smarter treatments

Treatment for breast cancer is not one-size-fits-all. Our researchers are looking at new ways to find new treatments, improve treatment effectiveness and reduce the side effects.

Saving lives

Despite improvements in breast cancer survival rates, secondary breast cancer remains incurable. We’re focused on working towards a world where everyone diagnosed with breast cancer lives -and lives well.

Continuing to create change

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we’ve had to cancel research grant funding rounds as well as reducing long-term research funding by around a third. The knock-on effects this will have are hard to overstate. Breast cancer won’t wait so neither can we.

Delyth, Breast Cancer Now's CEO
To achieve our vision that everyone with the disease lives, and is supported to live well, we need to make more progress against breast cancer in the next 30 years than at any previous time in our history. We need to act now.
