Help make sure our information and resources are readily available by becoming an information point volunteer.

Our information points ensure people visiting breast clinics have easy access to information leaflets and resources and make it easier for healthcare professionals to provide information.

As an information point volunteer, you will help connect people to Breast Cancer Now and the work we do to support those living with breast cancer. • Able to work on your own initiative
  • You will be confident using the internet and ordering items (or a willingness to learn)
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Able to work within Breast Cancer Now’s policies and guidelines

What support and training will I receive?

  • You will attend a 2 hour online welcome workshop introducing you to the charity
  • You will receive role specific training including how to use the publications ordering website to manage stock levels at your hospital
  • Breast Cancer Now will reimburse reasonable expenses in line with our expenses policy
  • The information point team send regular email newsletters, hold online get togethers and check in by phone regularly
  • The volunteer hub are always on hand to support you and hold regular online events for volunteers

What will I gain from this role?

  • Experience of volunteering in a healthcare setting
  • Developing organisational skills
  • Developing knowledge around the topic of breast cancer

I absolutely love being an information point volunteer at my local hospital. I get so much pleasure and satisfaction knowing that the charity's leaflets are helping local patients, providing them with all the resources they need when they are, at times, at their most vulnerable.
