Help researchers understand more about the experiences of women in forming new romantic relationships after primary breast cancer
Exploring the experiences of women in navigating new romantic relationships following breast cancer treatment.
Currently there is not a lot of support for women who are feeling uncertain around intimacy and relationships following breast cancer treatment.
In this project, the researchers want to interview 15 women who have formed a new romantic relationship after finishing their treatment for primary breast cancer.
They hope that this research will help them develop resources and support for women around romantic relationships after primary breast cancer.
Name of project lead: Charlotte Booker
Job title: MSc student

You can take part if you:
Please note the researchers are not looking to speak to women who are in the same relationship as they were during treatment.
By taking part, you’ll help the researchers understand more about what support could help women who are struggling with forming new romantic relationships after primary breast cancer.
If you choose to take part, you will be invited to take part in an online interview via Microsoft Teams. This will take around 45 to 90 minutes but there is no fixed time limit.
You'll be asked about about your experience of forming a new romantic relationship following treatment for primary breast cancer. This will include how you told that partner about your cancer and how you navigated intimacy.
You will also be asked to briefly answer some questions about previous relationships and dating.
You do not need to answer any questions you do not feel comfortable answering.
To thank you for taking part, you’ll be entered into a raffle draw to win a £40 Love2Shop voucher.
If you would like to take part, please email Charlotte at Charlotte.Booker2@live.uwe.ac.uk for more information on this project.
