What’s the study about?
This study aims to understand the different things people do to look after their health while living with or beyond cancer, such as managing symptoms, attending appointments, or making lifestyle changes.
The researchers also want to learn about the factors that may influence how people manage their health, including social support, caring responsibilities or other health conditions, and how these activities affect quality of life.

Who can take part?
You can take part if you:
- Are aged 18 or over
- Have been diagnosed with any cancer (excluding non-melanoma skin cancer), either currently or in the past
Why do you want me to be involved?
The researchers want to include a large and diverse group of people to ensure a wide range of experiences are represented.
By taking part, you’ll help researchers build understanding of people with varied backgrounds across different types and stages of cancer, including breast cancer.
Your insights could help shape future research and interventions that support people living with or beyond cancer.
What will you ask me to do?
You’ll be asked to complete a short questionnaire (around 15 minutes). It includes questions about:
- Information about you (age, gender etc.)
- The work you do to look after your health
- Your thoughts about cancer
- Any other health conditions
The questionnaire is available online, but you can request a paper version if you prefer.
How do I get involved?
You can take part by completing the online questionnaire. The information sheet and consent form are at the beginning of the questionnaire.
