What’s the project about?

National Voices is a coalition of health and social care charities in England across a range of health conditions and communities. They work together to advocate for more equitable and person-centred care. 

They’re passionate about making sure that the decisions made about care are shaped by the people who use and need it most. 

They’re recruiting for a lived experience partner to work alongside them and support their work.

  • Or a loved one or carer of someone with a disability or long term condition

Why do you want me to be involved? 

By becoming a lived experience partner, you can help National Voices ensure that the needs and priorities of people with a diverse range of conditions are represented in their work, adding impact and value. 

What will you ask me to do?

As a lived experience partner, you’ll work alongside National Voices to embed lived experience in their work, including 

  • Informing and influencing charity strategies and policies 
  • Inputting to influencing work across the health and care system
  • Acting as skilled advisors on projects, co-designing and co-facilitating where possible
  • Sitting on interview panels 
  • Attending regular Lived Experience Partner meetings 
  • Coaching system leaders through the Voices For Improvement programme

You’ll meet regularly as a group every 4-6 weeks. Meetings take place online and last 1.5 to 2 hours. There’ll also be a chance to meet in person once a year.
