Attend the Cancer Research Clinical Trials Unit's first patient and public involvement day to find out more about the work of the unit and meet other people interested in PPIE.
What's the event about?
The Cancer Research UK Clinical Trials Unit (CRCTU) aims to use the latest research and science to improve care for people affected by cancer in the UK.
An important part of their work is hearing from patients and members of the public to ensure their work meets the needs of people affected by cancer. This is known as patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE).
They’re holding their first PPIE event on Monday 20 April, to invite people to find out about more about being involved in research, meet other people interested in PPIE and hear about the work of the trials unit, including results from the National Lung Matrix Trial, a large UK-based precision medicine trial for non-small cell lung cancer.
You’ll also have the chance to share your views on how the unit can best engage the people in their work. This will help inform their new 2026 strategy.
