Share your experience of breast cancer screening in Wales

What’s the project about? 

Breast screening saves lives from breast cancer. Yet targets for women screened in Wales are being missed. In 2022-23, only 69.5% of women invited for screening attended their appointment - below the 70% minimum standard and the 80% target. 

Our campaign, No time to waste Wales, calls on the Welsh Senedd to take action to increase the number of people being screened for breast cancer in Wales by:

• Raise awareness about the importance of attending breast screening appointments 
• Provide more convenient and flexible booking options for Breast Screening appointments 
• Tackle health inequalities so people from all communities have equal access to screening 

We’re looking for case studies to share their experience of screening in Wales to help us demonstrate why the campaign matters, and increase support.
