What’s the project about?
Our Vita magazine goes out twice a year to our supporters across the country. Vita features real-life stories about breast cancer, and articles about health and wellbeing for people living with or beyond breast cancer.
For our Spring 2026 magazine, we’re planning an article about nipple reconstruction. In the article, we’ll explore some of the different nipple reconstruction options available, such as choosing not to have reconstruction, surgical reconstruction, tattoo and prosthetic.
We'd like to gather some personal stories and tips from members of our community who have tried some of these options.

Who can take part?
Anyone who has had breast reconstruction, whether or not you’ve had nipple reconstruction, can share their experience.
Why do you want me to be involved?
By sharing your experience of having, or choosing not to have, nipple reconstruction, you'll help bring the options to life for our readers who are living with and beyond breast cancer.
You can help people understand what they may want to do, or even discover an option they didn't know about before.
What will you ask me to do?
We will ask you to complete a survey and share some information about you and your breast cancer story.
We'll then ask you about why you chose the nipple reconstruction option that you did and what tips or advice you have for others who are thinking about a similar option.
