Dentistry and oral health when living with secondary breast cancer

Wednesday 6 May at 7pm, Webinar

What to expect

A diagnosis of and treatment for secondary breast cancer can impact on teeth and oral health in a variety of ways. Lauren will discuss the causes, signs and symptoms of these effects on dental health, how and when to seek help and how the effects may be managed, with a focus on prevention and keeping the mouth healthy. She will also give guidance on the best ways to access nationwide dental services.

About Lauren Firth

In this session we’ll be joined by Lauren Firth, a consultant in special care dentistry at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. Lauren works within the Community and Hospital setting.

She has a special interest in the management of oncology patients, breast cancer patients in particular, and works closely with the local teams in South Yorkshire. This passion arose following her own mum's secondary breast cancer diagnosis, and she hopes that her clinical expertise combined with personal experience will make this webinar useful and informative.
