What to expect
To join an open space where you can discuss managing menopausal symptoms whilst living with secondary breast cancer. You will have the opportunity to ask Dr Gooding, a specialist in this subject, any questions you need answering about your experience of menopause
About Dr. Charlotte Gooding
She is dedicated to taking a holistic approach looking at lifestyle factors such as nutrition, movement, stress and sleep alongside other measures including HRT if appropriate to enable the best outcomes for patients in terms of hormone health but also preventing future disease and managing existing conditions.
She has established a service in the NHS at her local breast unit for women with menopause and breast cancer. This includes managing women with a complex family history of breast cancer or are at higher risk of breast cancer and managing menopausal symptoms in women with a history of breast cancer and endocrine side effects of treatment. She also works with the Northern Cancer Alliance to educate and support patients and healthcare professionals about the impacts of cancer treatments on menopause.
She holds the BMS certificate and am a BMS accredited menopause specialist the highest level of menopause training available in the UK. Following completion of her medical degree at Newcastle university in 2008, she qualified as a general practitioner in 2016 and holds the MRCGP.
