Managing the festive season whilst living with secondary breast cancer

What to expect 

This speaker session will focus on managing and living well with secondary breast cancer over the festive period. We will discuss the challenges this time of year can bring and how best to manage challenging emotions and enjoy time with those close to you. The session will be run by Ali May who is a therapist and one of our online support group facilitators and will cover topics such as setting realistic expectations with friends and family, focusing on what matters most to you, the importance of caring for and treating yourself and coping with worrying thoughts. 

About Ali May

Ali May is a BACP-registered counsellor and has been facilitating groups with Breast Cancer Now, both in person and online for 8 years. Ali has her own private practice for individual or couples counselling and has previously worked for a cancer charity, Penny Brohn, in Bristol.
