About Lucy Thompson

Lucy Thompson BCAh is a medical and traditional tattoo artist and a TEDx speaker. She is also the founder of The Nipple Innovation Project (NiP), the UK’s first mastectomy tattoo charity.

Professional experience

Lucy began practicing advanced 3D areola tattooing in 2017. Since 2018, she has volunteered her time to run NiP. Her mission is to make realistic, safe, and gold-standard 3D nipple tattoos accessible to anyone who has undergone mastectomy or reconstructive surgery.

Achievements

Lucy is the first tattoo artist in the UK to partner with an NHS trust to receive NHS funding for areola tattoos. She also holds a British Citizen Award for her significant contributions to healthcare.

Her mission

Through artistry and hope, Lucy continues to challenge social stigma and influence industry standards. She is dedicated to empowering people to feel whole in their bodies once again.
