About Jo McNamara

Jo McNamara works at Sheffield Hallam University (SHU) as a senior lecturer, where she teaches therapeutic radiography students. She has over 40 publications, focusing on workforce development, patient care and healthcare education.

Jo was previously the first national therapeutic radiographer clinical fellow at Macmillan. During her time in the role, she raised the profile of radiotherapy and therapeutic radiographers within Macmillan.

Jo is radiotherapy chair for the UK Acute Oncology Society. She is also a personalised care institute ambassador and a radiotherapy UK ambassador. Jo co-hosts the multi award winning podcast Rad Chat., where she invites guests to educate and improve cancer care globally.
