About Carolyn Garritt

Carolyn is a personal trainer who specialises in helping people to get fit and active before, during and after cancer treatment. She firmly believes that exercise should be enjoyable, uplifting and a positive part of our daily lives.

Carolyn is a trustee for the charity Flat Friends. She writes “I found Flat Friends on the day I was told I’d need a mastectomy for an early but aggressive lobular breast cancer that I’d found, quite by accident, after I sprained a pectoral muscle. Finding FFUK, and particularly the Flatter Fashion blog, helped me normalise what I had always imagined would be a really difficult decision. For me, it wasn’t. I was lucky – I knew what I wanted and everyone around me, including my surgeon, was completely supportive. I know it isn’t like that for many women.”
