How do you define something? By definition, a definition is a statement of the meaning of a word. Breast cancer is defined as such because it arises from cells within the breast tissue. But when a disease like breast cancer is left to grow and develop it eventually spreads to other organs, forming tumours within the new tissue. If breast cancer results in tumours forming on the liver, is this still breast cancer? Or should it now be defined as liver cancer?
We were amazed at the inventiveness and range on the window displays this year, the amount of effort put in was brilliant. Judging was a very hard task as ever, and we would have liked to award a prize to everyone.

Events
Two hugely popular events took place again on the island this year. The Pink Ponda Quiz at the Ponda Rosa in Ryde, where everyone tested their general knowledge skills.
Diana Jupp, Director of Services at Breast Cancer Care, said: 'We welcome any research that may help identify risk factors and possible ways of preventing the development of breast cancer. However it is important to emphasise that the two greatest risk factors are things beyond our control – being female and getting older.'
