Fashion Targets Breast Cancer by Breast Cancer Now is calling on you to wear something important. To wear something that helps fund life-changing care and world-class research.
Wear something important
The coronavirus outbreak is an unprecedented situation for us all, but it continues to be an extremely difficult and uncertain time for so many people affected by breast cancer. Thousands are still living each day incredibly worried not only about their increased risk of becoming seriously ill if they do contract the virus, but about the impact of the current crisis on their breast cancer treatment, and, ultimately, their survival.
That’s why this year’s Fashion Targets Breast Cancer campaign has never been more important.
This year we have teamed up with three incredible young women - Laura, Rebecca and Sonia - who have all personally been affected by breast cancer. They are modelling the product and have each shared their breast cancer stories below.
I was diagnosed at the end of my second year at university. I used the Breast Cancer Now website a lot during treatment. I was also studying whilst at home, so I was able to read information about my diagnosis, treatment and aftercare at my own pace. I found it so helpful, not only for me but for my friends and family.
During treatment, you’re having all your feminine features taken away. I used to wear wigs, fill in my brows and brighten up my face with lipstick and clothes. It helped make me feel more confident.
Obviously, a secondary breast cancer diagnosis is scary. But my children, partner and family in general keep me as positive as possible. Even though you don’t really know how long you have left you just need to enjoy it as much as you can.
Every piece sold from our Fashion Targets Breast Cancer collection helps Breast Cancer Now to continue to be here for anyone affected by breast cancer. Now more than ever, we must do all we can to support patients and their families through whatever they’re facing.
You can help to make that happen.
30% of sales from the River Island White Eternal Print Tee and Hailey Jean will be donated to Breast Cancer Now.
