Breast cancer changes you

After the shock of diagnosis and the huge toll treatment takes, breast cancer can strip back your identity, remove your sense of self, and leave you unable to recognise who you are.

For some women, fashion helps them discover a new style that fits with these changes. Whether it’s a wearing a favourite jacket for treatment sessions or a new t-shirt that makes you feel good about yourself, it can play an important part in accepting the changes breast cancer can bring.

Every piece sold from the 2021 Fashion Targets Breast Cancer collection, created by River Island, will help Breast Cancer Now to be there for anyone affected by breast cancer.
