Find out about payroll giving. It's an easy way to give regular support to Breast Cancer Now.

Around 55,000 women and 370 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in the UK. This figure is higher than ever but, with a gift through your payroll, you can help us continue looking for ways to prevent and treat breast cancer for future generations.

What is payroll giving?

Payroll giving, sometimes called ‘Give as you Earn’, is a really easy way to give regular support to Breast Cancer Now.

Donations from your payslip are made before tax. This means money that would normally go to HM Revenue & Customs is given to the charity instead – so your gift could be worth up to 40% more.

Getting started with payroll giving

Set up payroll giving

If you have any queries about the scheme or if your employer is not yet set up for Payroll Giving, please visit the Payroll Giving website. You can also contact us either by email at hello@breastcancernow.org or by telephone on 0333 20 70 300.

How payroll giving works

Because payroll donations are taken from your gross pay, every pound you give will only cost you 80p, or only 60p if you are a higher rate tax payer.

This table shows how giving through your salary can really add up:

*Please note that we have calculated that the 40% higher rate tax band starts after earning £41,450 GROSS per year (including personal allowance of £9,440) and 45% super tax is applicable to those earning over £150,000 GROSS per year (this includes any and all personal allowances that might or might not be applicable).
