Behind every one of our nearly 450 scientists is an army of people making life-saving research happen.
Help us save lives now
Every 45 minutes someone dies from breast cancer.
If we all act now, by 2050, everyone who develops breast cancer will live.
We’re the UK’s largest breast cancer charity, dedicated to funding research into this devastating disease. With your help our research will save lives.
Behind our army of 380 scientists is a force of people making breast cancer research happen. Meet some of them…

Meet Beth. She was just 22, and busy planning her wedding when she noticed a hardening on top of her breast. Read her story.

Meet Chantele. Her children still have a mum for one main reason - researchers discovered a drug called Kadcyla. Read her story.

This is Linda. Ten years after diagnosis, she knows without research she wouldn’t be alive. Read her story.
Research is saving lives

Breast cancer is affecting more of us than ever before. Every day, around 139 people in the UK hear the words ‘it’s breast cancer’ and every month the disease takes the lives of nearly 1,000 people.
But these aren’t just statistics. These are real people with real lives, who we need to give more precious time to live. And there’s only one way to do that – research.
We’re the largest charity in the UK whose research focuses entirely on breast cancer. With nearly 380 scientists across the UK and Ireland, working on over 85 cutting-edge projects, we’re tackling the disease from every angle. From discovering how to prevent it and uncovering better ways to detect it earlier, to finding new ways to treat it and understanding how to stop it spreading to other parts of the body.
Breast Cancer Now won’t stop until breast cancer has taken its last life. With your help our research will save lives.
