Take part in a study exploring how anxiety, emotionsand wellbeing are experienced in the body in people living with or beyond breast cancer.
Breast cancer is often a challenging experience, both emotionally and physically. However, there hasn't been a lot of researchers into the link between how people feel in their bodies and their mental wellbeing during and after breast cancer.
Researchers want to understand how bodily sensations such as pain or discomfort affects people's mental health and wellbeing when they’re living beyond primary breast cancer, or living with secondary breast cancer.
You can take part if you:
You can’t take part if you’ve been diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS).
You must also be over 18, live in the UK and be able to read and write in English.
By sharing your experiences, you'll help the researchers understand the different ways that bodily sensations can affect wellbeing. This will help to shape further research that could improve mental health support in the future.
You'll be asked to complete an online survey about:
The survey will take you approximately 30 minutes to finish. Most questions will ask you to rate how strongly you agree or disagree with certain statements, or to respond using a numbered scale. There is also one open-ended question where you can describe, in your own words, how you think and feel about your body, if you wish.
At the end, you’ll be given the option of entering a raffle prize draw.
Please complete the online survey.
The participant information sheet and consent form are at the beginning of the survey.
