Help review information about our new metastatic one to one support service in other languages
Review information about our new metastatic one-to-one peer support service in other languages, to ensure the tone and language used are appropriate to people with metastatic breast cancer.
What’s the project about?
Breast Cancer Now is piloting a new telephone support service for people living with metastatic breast cancer, called One-to-One Metastatic Peer Support.
The service aims to help people feel less alone by connecting them with a peer who also has a metastatic breast cancer diagnosis. It will be available in a range of languages through professional interpreters, and we're producing printed information about it for healthcare professionals to share with their patients.
We're looking for native speakers of languages other than English to review this printed information in the languages they read and give feedback on tone and sensitivity.
We're especially keen to hear from native Urdu, Gujarati and Polish speakers.
Who’s organising it?
Name of project lead: Kirsten Cooper
Job title: Pilot Coordinator
Organisation: Breast Cancer Now
Email address: Kirsten.cooper@breastcancernow.org
Why do you want me to be involved?
Your feedback will help make sure the information about this new service is clear, welcoming and meaningful for people living with metastatic breast cancer – regardless of the language they speak.
Getting it right in every language means we can reach more people who might otherwise miss out on support.
What will you ask me to do?
We’ll send you patient information about the new service in the language(s) you speak via email, alongside more information about the service, and the key things we’d like you to feed back on.
You’ll share your feedback on the translated document(s) via email.
How do I get involved?
Please contact Kirsten.Cooper@breastcancernow.org, letting her know which language(s) you speak, and Kirsten will send over more information.
When’s the deadline?
14 September 2026
