Understanding breast cancer support needs
Take part in an online interview about your experience of breast cancer diagnosis and treatment to inform future decisions about breast cancer support.
What’s the title of the study?
Patient experience of living with breast cancer
What’s the project about?
Breast cancer can affect every aspect of someone’s life. And everyone who’s diagnosed with breast cancer will have different needs, and different experiences of treatment, care and support.
A pharmaceutical company is wanting to understand people’s experiences of breast cancer in the UK, from diagnosis to treatment, and how this affects different areas of their lives. They hope that this will help them understand how healthcare providers and other organisations can provide better support in the future.
Several market research companies (Customer Faithful, Bryter and Liberating Research) will be collaborating on this project to hear about your experiences.
Who’s organising it?
Name of project lead: Victoria Davies
Job title: Senior Insight Director
Organisation: Bryter Ltd
Email address: victoria.davies@bryter-global.com
Who can take part?
You can take part if you've had a personal diagnosis of certain types of primary or metastatic breast cancer. You will be asked for specific details during the sign-up process.
Why do you want me to be involved?
By taking part, you can help build a better understanding of what support people diagnosed with breast cancer need to live well. This could inform and shape healthcare provision in the future.
What will you ask me to do?
You’ll be asked to join an online interview. The interview will last up to 90 minutes, and you’ll be asked to do a 15-minute pre-interview task beforehand. The interview can be in person if preferred.
The interview will cover different aspects of your experience of breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. The identity of the sponsoring pharmaceutical company will be named at the end of the interview.
You’ll receive payment to thank you for your time. Details will be provided before you sign up.
How do I get involved?
If you’re interested in getting involved, please complete the expression of interest form. A company called Liberating Research will be your first point of contact. You’ll be asked to fill out a screening questionnaire to make sure you’re eligible for the study.
If you’re able to take part, the team will then provide more information about the market research study and schedule the interview at a time that’s convenient for you
If you have any questions or would like more information before taking part, please contact Alisa at alisa@liberatingresearch.com
When’s the deadline?
