Secondary breast cancer support for healthcare professionals

We're here for you and your patients

In 2019, we surveyed 2,000 people in the UK living with incurable secondary (metastatic) breast cancer about their experiences.

We found that 1 in 4 respondents who had previously been treated for breast cancer, visited their GP 3 or more times with symptoms of secondary breast cancer, before being diagnosed.

That’s why we're helping people like you, healthcare professionals across the UK, to learn the signs and symptoms of secondary breast cancer.

As healthcare professionals, it’s essential that we are aware of the signs of secondary breast cancer so that our patients receive timely treatment and care.

If I’d had the right scan at the time, I still would have had secondary breast cancer, but the tumour would have been significantly smaller and I would have started treatment 9 months sooner. It concerns me that other patients could slip through the cracks in the same way.
