We're here for you and your patients
In 2019, we surveyed 2,000 people in the UK living with incurable secondary (metastatic) breast cancer about their experiences.
We found that 1 in 4 respondents who had previously been treated for breast cancer, visited their GP 3 or more times with symptoms of secondary breast cancer, before being diagnosed.
That’s why we're helping people like you, healthcare professionals across the UK, to learn the signs and symptoms of secondary breast cancer.
Free breast cancer recurrence course by GatewayC
Gateway is a free early diagnosis resource for primary care professionals across England and Wales. Designed for the NHS, by the NHS. The course is a valuable tool to increase awareness of secondary breast cancer symptoms. We've supported the development of their 1-hour CPD-accredited breast cancer recurrence course. This course is also accessible on every GP desktop in Wales.

If I’d had the right scan at the time, I still would have had secondary breast cancer, but the tumour would have been significantly smaller and I would have started treatment 9 months sooner. It concerns me that other patients could slip through the cracks in the same way.
