Nearly 5,000 of you backed our campaign to secure urgently needed funding for breast cancer in the Government’s recent Spending Review.
We want to thank everybody who took the time to email their MP to help us to make the strongest possible case for investment in breast cancer research, diagnosis and care.
What does the Spending Review mean for cancer patients?
The Spending Review was presented on Wednesday the 26th of November. While it included funding for both the NHS and research and development, we are deeply concerned by the lack of clarity as to whether funding will be available for medical research charities.
Additionally, the investment for health services falls short of what we have been calling for and know is needed to give people with breast cancer the best chance of survival. You can read our Chief Executive, Delyth Morgan’s, response to the Spending Review here.
