About Night in the Wild

Give up your home comforts for one special night by the campfire, all while raising vital funds for life-changing breast cancer research and support.

Together with friends and our help, you’ll build your own shelter and spend a wild night in nature.

It might sound a little daunting, but powerful things happen when people get together – and we’ll be there to help you all the way.

Where, when and how

Location and date are to be confirmed for 2026.

Anyone over 18 is welcome to take part. Men can attend as long as they’re accompanied by a woman.

By signing up, you'll pledge to raise £250 to go towards our breast cancer research and support. The money you raise could pay for a day of world-class research in one of our labs, or help people get the answers they need by calling our free helpline.

So, what do you say? Will you and your friends take on the Night in the Wild challenge?

Why we need you

Every 10 minutes, someone in the UK hears the words “You have breast cancer”. Cases have risen in women by 24% in the last 30 years. By getting sponsored to spend a night under the stars, you can help us be here for even more people through our life-saving research and vital support services.

FAQs

  • How much sponsorship do I need to raise?

Each participant is encouraged to raise a minimum of £250 in sponsorship (in addition to the £35 entry fee).

We ask for a minimum sponsorship of £250 because we believe it reflects the scale and difficulty of the challenge. And so that we can continue to fund our vital research and support. There's no penalty for not reaching the minimum fundraising target, but we do encourage everyone to achieve this goal. We'll give you fundraising ideas and materials to help make this as easy as possible.

The £35 registration fee does not meet the entire cost of the challenge, so setting a minimum sponsorship target also makes sure that we can cover the cost of each place in the event.
