Text to donate - terms and conditions

  1. You can make a £5 donation to Breast Cancer Now, by texting the relevant keyword to 70025. For each text message sent, you will be charged £5, plus your standard network message charge (based on your service provider rates). Your donation will be added to your phone bill or taken from your pay-as-you-go credit, plus your standard network rate.
  2. One hundred per cent of your donation goes to Breast Cancer Now (a charity registered in England and Wales (1160558), Scotland (SC045584) and Isle of Man (1200)).  £5 donations and associated billing charges will be listed on your phone bill usually along with the shortcode number of 70025 and the listing may also state Cymba Integrated Solutions Limited and/or Breast Cancer Now. 
  3. You should receive a confirmation text immediately (if in an area with signal). If you don't, this may indicate that you haven't got enough phone credit to make the donation, or you've reached a spending limit on your contract. If within 3 days you add credit or if the spending limit is lifted, the donation amount will be deducted automatically. If after 3 days you still do not have enough credit or a spending limit is in place, the donation will not be processed.
  4. If you’ve texted to donate to Breast Cancer Now by mistake you may still be charged if the shortcode and keyword combination is active. You will know if it’s active if you receive a text back from Breast Cancer Now to confirm the donation. If your network will not refund the donation, please do contact us. However, we will not be able to make the refund until the text donation has cleared in our account, which could take over 90 days. We are unable to refund any standard network rate charges charged by your mobile network provider. 
  5. You must obtain permission from the bill payer before sending a text message. 
  6. If you are under 16 years old, you must have your parent or guardian’s permission to send a text donation to us.
  7. Please note that you can donate using this SMS service from a UK mobile only. You cannot donate using this service from a Channel Islands, Isle of Man or other non-UK mobile. 
  8. If you donate using this service from a UK mobile when you are outside England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, you may incur additional network charges levied and retained by your network operator. 
  9. There may be a daily limit on text donations to the shortcode from the same mobile number across all phone-paid services. Any text donations exceeding the limit will not be accepted (so you will not be donating these additional amounts to Breast Cancer Now), but you may still incur your standard network message charge. If you would like to contribute more to Breast Cancer Now you can donate online using our online form.  
  10. If you enter the keyword incorrectly, your donation to Breast Cancer Now may not be successful, but you may still be charged your standard network message charge. 
  11. If you send your text message to an incorrect shortcode, or you otherwise fail to correctly follow the instructions in these terms and conditions, you will not make a donation to Breast Cancer Now but you may still be charged your standard network message charge. 
  12. Breast Cancer Now cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure, malfunction, congestion, capacity issues or any other problem with any telephone, telephone network or line, system, server, provider or otherwise which may result in any text being lost, delayed or not properly received and recorded. 
  13. This SMS service may not be supported by all mobile network operators. If a specific mobile network operator does not support the service, then following an attempt to donate via text message, no donation will be made. 
  14. This SMS service is being provided for Breast Cancer Now by Cymba Integrated Solutions Limited, 107 Cheapside, London EC2V 6DN.
  15. Your mobile phone number will be processed by Cymba Integrated Solutions Limited on behalf of Breast Cancer Now for the purpose of making your donation. Read our full privacy policy here.
