Find a world of support to cope with the uncertainty and challenges of secondary breast cancer.
Whether you’re managing the ongoing side effects of treatment, want to improve your overall wellbeing or talk to others in a similar situation, our free services are here for anyone affected by secondary breast cancer.
We understand the huge impact being diagnosed with secondary breast cancer can have.
Our Living with Secondary Breast Cancer Online programme is hosted in a private space within our online Forum where you can get specialist information and share experiences, understanding and support with other people dealing with the uncertainty and challenges secondary breast cancer brings.
As part of the online programme, you will be able to view videos and presentations by expert speakers on a range of relevant topics, including:
- Secondary breast cancer and Covid-19
- Emotional and psychological wellbeing
- Managing side effects of treatment
- Activity and exercise
- Relaxation and mindfulness
The programme is available all day, every day. During office hours, Breast Cancer Now staff are around ‘virtually’ on the programme to offer support and answer any questions you may have.
People who are currently using the programme have told us:
It’s definitely a lifeline for information and a ‘community’ feeling for secondary breast cancer patients when so little else exists
I found it reassuring to hear so many of the questions that have been going around in my head asked out loud, and to get clear, straightforward answers
As well as our online programme, we are also running regular virtual group meetings open to anybody living with secondary breast cancer across the UK.
Meetings are relaxed and offer time to talk about what’s on your mind with others who understand, in a safe confidential space with a group of around six to 12 people. Each virtual meeting is facilitated by one of our experienced counsellors who will welcome you when you join.
We are also running occasional live speaker sessions online where you can hear from expert guest speakers on relevant topics, with plenty of opportunity for questions.
Once you register we will send you regular updates inviting you to upcoming meetings and you can choose to attend as often or as many as you like. We usually hold around six to eight virtual sessions a month on Zoom, you can see upcoming dates and times below.
