What to expect at a Younger Women with Secondaries Together event

About the online sessions

We run monthly group sessions on Zoom. They’re facilitated by one of our experienced counsellors who will welcome you when you join. The sessions are informal and relaxed and a space for you to talk about whatever’s on your mind. They usually take place on the third Tuesday of every month, from 1–2.30pm.

About the four-week events

We run four-week events where you'll hear from expert speakers on topics including adjusting and adapting to a life-limiting illness; a Q&A with an oncologist; and you'll get an opportunity to connect with other younger women. We run these events around three times a year.

The next dates for this course are 24 May, 31 May, 7 June and 14 June 2023 from 1-2.30pm.

You can email us with any questions at youngerwomen@breastcancernow.org. We're always here to help.

Two-day in-person event

A few times a year, we also run in-person events over two days, just for women under 45 with secondary breast cancer. Run in groups of around 40 women, these events are a chance for you to meet other women in a similar position, go to informative talks, and share what’s on your mind.

As well as whole-group sessions, you'll be able to choose a number of break-out groups led by experts. We provide all meals and refreshments, plus overnight accommodation on the Friday night. As with all our services, this event is free.

For more information on what to expect at our face-to-face events, please read our frequently asked questions. Any queries please email us at youngerwomen@breastcancernow.org.

I found these sessions really useful, and it was really good to connect with people of a similar age going through the same thing.
