Do you want to learn more about topics relevant to your primary breast cancer diagnosis? Join one of our online Speakers Live sessions.
What to expect
Speakers Live is an opportunity to learn more from experts about relevant topics. The events take place in real time over Zoom and you can ask questions by sending them in beforehand, or by typing in the chat box during the event. In the majority of events, no cameras or microphones are on, unless stated otherwise.
Speakers Live cover a wide range of topics, such as healthy eating, exercise, hormone treatment, sleep, emotional impact of breast cancer, fertility, returning to work after breast cancer treatment and many more.

Relaxation and breathwork with Juli Hammersley
Tuesday 28 April, 6pm to 7.15pm. Learn simple relaxation and breathwork techniques to reduce stress and anxiety.

Lymphoedema with Saskia Krijgsman
Wednesday 29 April, 6pm to 7.15pm. Join this session to find out about the causes and symptoms of lymphoedema after breast cancer treatment.

Nipple Tattooing with Lucy Thompson
Tuesday 5 May, 7pm to 8.15pm. Learn about the different options for nipple and areola tattooing after a breast cancer diagnosis.

Menopause and cancer with Dr Claire Phipps
Thursday 7 May, 7pm to 8.15pm. This session aims to provide information and practical advice on managing menopausal symptoms to people whose lives are affected by a treatment-induced menopause.

Tuesday 12 May 2026, 7pm to 8.15pm. Join Vic to explore how different breast cancer treatments can affect fertility.

Emotional impact of breast cancer with Dr Sarah Swan
Wednesday 13 May, 7pm to 8.15pm. Sarah will talk about how you can notice and understand your emotional responses, accept them and live a fulfilling life despite breast cancer.

Thursday 14 May, 7pm to 8.15pm. Dr Parton will give you a better understanding of hormone treatment, and what questions to ask your team.

Exercise series (beginners): Getting active with Carolyn Garritt
Tuesday 19 May, 7pm to 8.15pm. Join Carolyn for practical hints and tips to empower you to start being more physically active or to return to exercising after a long break.

Wednesday 20 May, 7pm-8.15pm. Dr Swan will talk about body image after breast cancer and share tips on how to manage distress.

Tuesday 26 May, 7pm to 8.15pm. Join Carolyn for practical tips on how to continue exercising during and after treatment, and how to return to your previous levels of fitness.

Thursday 18 June, 6pm to 7.15pm. Tracey will teach journalling practices to help calm a busy mind, make sense of feelings, provide an outlet for worries and provide a space for reflection.

Tuesday 23 June, 8pm-9.15pm. This session will tackle the most common cancer nutrition myths including sugar, dairy and soy.

Diet series: Eating well after a diagnosis with Jo Cunningham
Thursday 25 June, 8pm-9.15pm. Explore how your diet can support your body, focusing on inclusion, nourishment, and evidence.

Staying flat after mastectomy with Carolyn Garritt
Tuesday 7 July, 6pm to 7.15pm. A discussion between one of our Clinical Nurse Specialists and Carolyn Garritt from Flat Friends about staying flat after mastectomy.

Dentistry and oral health in primary breast cancer with Lauren Firth
Thursday 9 July, 7pm to 8.15pm. Lauren will discuss the impact that primary breast cancer treatment can have on oral health, including potential symptoms to look out for and when to seek help.

When is Speakers Live?
Our experts host the talks on different weekdays. These usually occur in the evenings, but the date and time of each session are listed in the registration form. They are 1 hour and 15 minutes long.

What happens once I’ve registered for Speakers Live?
We’ll send you a confirmation email with the Zoom details and information on the speaker.
Are the events accessible?
We’re working to make our services as accessible as possible. If you need more support from us in order to take part in this event, we’ll try our best to make reasonable adjustments.

What if I can't make a session?
If you sign up for a Speakers Live session and then cannot attend, you'll automatically receive a recording shortly after the session takes place.
Recordings of any sessions are only available for a limited time and are only available if you’d already registered for the session. We ask you not to share them with anyone else.
